What is this?
Join us for our weekly Belegarth practice—a mix of medieval combat, fantasy fun, and community connection! Whether you're a battle-hardened veteran or just curious to try swinging a foam sword, this is the perfect time to join in or watch.
We provide everything you need: weapons, shields, and friendly instructors to get you started. Just wear something comfy that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Who should come?

• Newcomers who want to try Belegarth for the first time
• Returning fighters looking to train and have fun
• Cosplayers, LARPers, or fantasy fans looking for their next adventure
• Folks who want to spectate and see what we’re about before jumping in

We are an inclusive and queer-friendly community that welcomes fighters and friends of all backgrounds, skill levels, and identities.

What to expect:

• Safe, full-speed foam weapon combat
• A welcoming space where respect and fun come first
• Tips and support to help you grow, whether you're brand-new or a seasoned fighter
• Optional classes and drills to sharpen your skills

Age Requirements:
Fighters must be at least 13 years old to participate.
We recommend ages 16 and up for most newcomers due to the intensity of the sport.

About attendance:
You might notice a small number of RSVPs here—but don’t worry! Most of our regular fighters don’t use Meetup. We typically have 15–25 people at practice every week, and there’s always someone available to help you get started.
