Carter G. Woodson, The Man Who Conceived Black History Week

Celebration of Black History Month at historic Stanford L. Warren Library. Greetings members and Happy Black History Month. The Father of Black History Month is quite astonishing given his beginnings and contributions to America. However, as we explore our history, we see that this behavior is not uncommon for Black citizens.
Join us on February 22, we will discuss Woodson's history and visit the history of Durham's first Black library, Stanford Warren Library.
