White Pines Nature Preserve (~4 miles, carpooling)

Hi everybody, on Sunday I plan to head down to White Pines Nature Preserve south of Sanford to view the rhododendron and mountain laurel blooms there, while also hunting for any other interesting flowers that may be around. The hike has some ups and downs, but nothing terribly difficult and only around 4 miles with decent temps (high of 60). It is a very beautiful site, so I highly recommend you join to see this spot!

Since the lot is small and it is a bit of a drive (40 minutes or so from Durham), I will be offering to carpool from the Durham REI (6911 Fayetteville Rd Ste 109, Durham, NC 27713) at 1:30pm to make things easier for everyone to attend. Hope you can join!
