June is here, and so is our next Coffee & A Case Study! After last month’s deep dive into Zoning, we’re turning our attention to something just as essential: Underwriting.
This month, we’ll break down what underwriting really means, why every real estate professional should understand it, and how to use it to make smarter investments. We’ll talk through how developers, investors, and lenders use underwriting to assess risk, project returns, and uncover hidden value — with real-world examples that apply right here in the Triangle.
As always, we’ll kick things off with a curated coffee tasting and leave plenty of time for networking with other local professionals.

Parking:
We’ve had a lot of questions about parking—great news! Street parking in downtown Durham is free on weekends, and there’s also a parking garage right next to Durham Food Hall for extra convenience. Please make sure to arrive early to secure a parking spot, though, as the Farmer's Market is down the block and there can be some congestion. No matter how long you plan to stay, you’ll be covered.
