Live Event - How We Recommend Alternatives

First time live since the pandemic hit, we're excited to present a live Data Science Meetup event and look forward to seeing the community live again, have a drink together and enjoy the talk of our next speaker, Robert Kübler.

*** Abstract ***
Whenever articles are out of stock in an online shop, customers get frustrated – for a good reason. In order to prevent this, it would be great if alternative products can be recommended instead, so the customer journey can seamlessly continue!
Join Robert's talk and learn how to design an alternative recommender with the help of methods from natural language processing.

Access to the event will be granted with a ! negative test ! of the same day.
Also, we'll have to reduce the maximal amount of participant to 60, so please make sure you register on time.

*** About the Speaker ***
Robert studied mathematics with a focus on algorithms at the Ruhr University Bochum. Afterward, he worked as a data scientist for three years, currently at METRO.digital. He is also an author on Towards Data Science (https://medium.com/@dr-robert-kuebler).
