Meeting #1: Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo

*Location details will be provided shortly.

Join us for the first meeting of Düsseldorf Reads Fiction, where we’ll discuss Pedro Páramo by Mexican author Juan Rulfo.

The novel follows Juan Preciado as he travels to the town of Comala in search of his father, Pedro Páramo.

During the meeting, we’ll talk about the novel’s unusual structure, its atmosphere and characters and the different ways its fragmented story can be interpreted. You’re welcome to bring questions, favorite passages or anything that surprised or confused you.
