Workshop Machine Learning in Ruby

Details

Laurens Boekhorst and Tonci Galic from Kabisa (https://www.kabisa.nl/)organize a workshop on machine learning with Ruby. Machine learning enables software to adapt to new or different situations. The information is taken from previous situations and machine learning is used for analysis and pattern recognition. Algorithms draft new rules so that it better responds to new situations - artificial intelligence.

But how do you start?

Experience shows that you do not have to be a mathematician to apply machine learning.

The hands-on workshop focuses on text classification. You are about to evaluate texts from the Twitter API on positive or negative feelings. Attention is paid to the training, classification and evaluation of the algorithm. The workshop is designed for software developers who are interested in an introduction to machine learning and may have some knowledge of Ruby. After the workshop you will have the tools to machine learning to apply in practice.

The workshop will begin at 18:00 with drinks, then we have some food. The workshop starts at around 19:00-19:30 and ends around 21:00.

This is a joint workshop in collaboration with the Elixir Meetup Düsseldorf (https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/Elixir-Meetup-Dusseldorf/events/237370817/).
