This Sunday we’re heading out for a scenic hike packed with railway charm, forest trails, and wide open views — perfect for autumn vibes 🍂

🗺️ Highlights along the way:
🚂 Steam Locomotive 044 389-5 at the Egge Museum – a nostalgic start point with a few parking spots and a nearby café.
🌉 Viewpoints of the Altenbeken Viaduct – several stunning spots to admire Europe’s longest limestone bridge (482 m, 24 arches).
🌲 Hiltenberg & Schwarzes Kreuz Memorial – peaceful forest paths and a touch of history.
🌿 Hochheide Plateau – open landscapes with sweeping views.
🪨 Scholandstein Rest Area – a stone likely from the WWII-damaged viaduct, now a nice resting spot.
🏞️ Final viewpoint – beautiful panorama over Altenbeken and the viaduct.

We expect to be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 19:00 (with some flexibility depending on breaks and pace).
