Come join us for this very first Dutch Audio Developer meetup!
We'll be at The Hacker Building in Amsterdam for some talks, drinks, and pizza, so come join us to hear about some cool projects and network with fellow audio nerds.

Due to venue size, RSPV-ing is required for attendance, but we might move to a bigger venue if there's a lot of interest.

Schedule:

17:30 - doors open
18:30 - Talks:
* Thread-safety and thread-sanity in VMPC2000XL
* Commercializing Audio Plugins
~ Networking with food and drinks ~

Talks:

Thread-safety and thread-sanity in VMPC2000XL
VMPC2000XL is an open-source Akai MPC2000XL emulator. In this talk we'll take a look at how VMPC2000XL makes shared data access thread-safe. We'll also look at how it keeps the audio thread sane, by which we usually mean that it performs no blocking operations, such as allocating memory. Emphasizing practical guidelines, we'll also spend some time on integrating sanitizers in your project.

Commercializing Audio Plugins
Going from development to the first sale and beyond is a daunting journey, but we're here to share all the experience we have in the process. We'll dive into each decision you have to make along the way, in everything from distribution channels to marketing strategies, setting you up for success. The strategies we'll share are techniques we've seen work across multiple brands, some of which we can automate away entirely.
This is a shortened version of my ADC 25' talk.

This meetup is made possible by our community members and sponsors. Interested in holding a talk or otherwise contributing? Please get in touch!
