Azure IoT: Build your own edge

Details
You may already know that Azure is the perfect home for your centralized IoT platform, and you may even have heard of running Azure on the edge, but have you ever tried running C# on an embedded device? Even if all of this is new to you, we have got you covered.
In this session, Matthijs van der Veer and Tijmen van de Kamp will give you an overview of the Azure IoT platform and its components, and dive deeper into deploying .NET nanoFramework on an ESP32, a low-power system-on-a-chip that is great for prototyping… and more.
After the presentation you will get a chance to get hands-on: run your code on an embedded device, hook it up to Azure, and claim your spot in the ever-updating leaderboard. We will provide the ESP32s, connectivity, and power, but you will need to bring your own laptop. An Azure subscription is not mandatory but can be fun to play around with of course.
