We have a session and a workshop for this evening:

How Microsoft is helping to reduce your Azure carbon footprint
By Steef Burghouts & Frank Folsche
A decade ago, Marc Andreessen famously wrote a prescient claim that “software is eating the world.” Sure, he was right, but this disruption of traditional companies also caused an ever growing number of hyperscale data centers all over the globe, which results in an increasing amount of carbon emitted to the environment. Although we, as software developers, have limited control on the impact of the actual hardware, we do have a significant impact on the software running on the servers. But to have actual impact, we have to change our mindset when developing our software. In this talk we'll give you the ammunition to make this mindset change and how Microsoft is helping us in in reducing the emissions of our Azure Cloud workloads and how Sustainability fits into the Well Architected Framework.

Workshop: QA with Azure OpenAi Service
By Gerard Cebriá León & Egor Dmitriev
In today's dynamic landscape, ChatGPT has seamlessly integrated itself into the routines of countless users, offering valuable assistance across various tasks like code generation, documentation creation, email composition, and more.
Many big tech companies hurry to incorporate AI assistants into their product as it provides inherent value for increasing its usability and boosting user's productivity. Smaller businesses face significant challenges as maintaining their own model can be expensive. Similarly, sending sensitive information to third-party services can pose a significant business risk.
This workshop will show you how you can create such AI powered assistant that operates on your own business data without leaving your Azure account.

Please bring your laptop. If you don't have one, don't let that stop you from coming. You can always pair with somebody who has a laptop.
