Join us on Saturday 20 June at the Dutch Language Café in Den Haag for an afternoon of Mahjong, good conversation, and meeting new people.
🎓 Beginner Workshop
Learn Mahjong in a fun, hands-on way. Depending on your table, you'll learn either Sichuan Mahjong or Hong Kong Mahjong. After a short introduction, you'll start playing right away with guidance from a dedicated host, learning the rules, gameplay, and core techniques as you play. By the end of the session, you'll be able to play a simplified version of the style taught at your table.
🎲 Open Play (Basic, Intermediate & Advanced)
Already familiar with Mahjong? Join fellow players for open play and be seated with others of a similar experience level. We support Sichuan, Hong Kong, and Riichi Mahjong, and we'll group players by their preferred style whenever possible. If there aren't enough players for a particular style, we'll seat you at another table and help you get started.
🌍 Language
Everyone is welcome. We provide explanations in both Dutch and English, making the event suitable for Dutch speakers, internationals, and Dutch language learners alike.
📍 Practical Information
The Dutch Language Café is located just a 5-minute walk from Den Haag Centraal Station and is easy to reach by public transport, bicycle, or on foot.
Whether it's your first game or your hundredth, come spend an afternoon meeting new people, enjoying great food, and playing Mahjong together.
