Dutch Language Cafe with games! [Natives welcome!]

Hi!

At the Dutch Language Café, our core mission is to help people feel at home in The Hague, by providing opportunities to learn the local language, meet new people and do fun and interesting activities!

Do you like to:

* Learn Dutch or help others speak Dutch
* Do interesting activities (cooking, games, movies, parties, trips, and much more)
* Like to learn and grow as a person by becoming active in a community?

Then the Dutch Language Cafe is something for you!

- THIS ACTIVITY -
Every Wednesday is game night! We play fun board games, from party games (30 seconds, What Am I?, True or False) to more tactical games (Codenames, Dixit, Carcassone and so on). We have a whole collection! So even if you are not a board game geek there will be something you like :).

- TIMETABLE -
19:30 Door open - come in for a social chat
20:15 Split in groups, start playing board games
21:30 Most groups end playing, feel free to stay for a drink / ping pong / a chat
22:00 End of activity :)

- DUTCH LEVEL -
During the events we speak Dutch as much as possible. We talk slowly, it is ok if you make mistakes, and we are happy to help you, but we try to speak mostly Dutch. The events are therefore good for people who already have a basic level and want to practice more. Are you a beginner or do you still find the idea of a group activity in Dutch intimidating? - NATIVE SPEAKERS -
Is Nederlands je moedertaal? Je bent ook van harte welkom! Voor jou kan het Dutch Language Café een plek zijn waar je nieuwe mensen ontmoet van over de hele wereld, leuke activiteiten doet, een veilige plek om jezelf te ontplooien en talenten te ontwikkelen, en daarnaast is het gewoon erg fijn om anderen te kunnen helpen met de taal :).

- COSTS -
We ask an entry fee of 9 euros (native speakers 6.00) to cover costs. Included are free drinks (coffee/tea/lemonade) and snacks (chips, nuts and so on). Native speakers pay a bit less as a sign of appreciation for their help with the language.

Dutch Language Cafe members enter always for free! As a member, you can acces any event (also our special members-only events), can join our WhatsApp groups, can use our space for your own activities, and are a true part of our family :).
