What we’re about

In the Dutch Language Conversation group we will practice our Dutch in small groups of 4 or 5 students. This is the way you learn best. Why is that so?

In a small group:
••• everyone gets attention, even when you're a bit shy (or too modest). You learn more, when you feel safe and at ease.
••• you can take your time, when it is your turn to speak. You can make as many mistakes as you do - this is part of the process. People that make no mistakes, usually make nothing at all.
••• we have real conversation on real topics. Conversation in small groups is easier to follow and to understand. You expand your vocabulary with words and phrases you can immediately use in real life.
The sessions are •••100% Dutch•••
This means: no English allowed. Instead of switching to English when you can't find the words, you can google a picture, use an online dictionary or express yourself in any other way you please. Use your imagination to spark the conversation, and let’s have fun!
The Dutch Language Conversation group comes together at a private location in Amsterdam Oost. This is walking distance from metro station Wibautstraat and Amstel Station, and close to the booming hospitality hot spots on Beukenplein.
• 2 hour sessions
• cosy and informal location
• easy to access.
