# Nederlands op Schiermonnikoog (Dutch on Schiermonnikoog)

With a length of 16 km and a width of 4 km, Schiermonnikoog is the smallest inhabited Wadden island of the Netherlands. The only village on the island is also called Schiermonnikoog.

From 1 to 4 May Taalhuis Amsterdam will travel to this unique island for an intensive weekend of Dutch language and culture!
The weekend includes 9,5 hours of Dutch classes, an excursion and a welcome dinner. There are also some optional activities you can join, and of course you can make your own plans alone or in smaller groups to explore the island and to practise your Dutch with the locals!
(Preliminary) weekend plans*:
Friday: arrival, 1,5 hour Dutch class (17:30-19:00) and welcome dinner.
Saturday: morning class (10:00-13:00) and afternoon excursion.
Sunday: morning class (10:00-13:00) and final presentations (16:00-18:00).
Monday: check-out.
*Times can still change a bit, depending on reservation availability.
Levels:
This weekend is open to all levels from beginners to advanced! All you need is the motivation to speak Dutch for the entire weekend. There will be small groups based on the levels of the participants and a team of Dutch teachers is attending the trip to provide engaging lessons with a focus on Schiermonnikoog. They are also your 24/7 Dutch language coaches, answering all your questions about the Dutch language and engaging you in games and discussions during the excursions, drinks and dinners.
Location:
You will stay and have most lessons at the Aude Kolonyhus.
