What is The Dutch Photography & Filmmaking Meetup all about?
It's open for everyone, amateurs, advanced shooters and professionals since 2015! BUT there are some changes implemented on the meetup.com platform we are definitely not happy about. Meetup used to be for creatives run by creatives. Since this year, 2024, they sold Meetup to a Private Equity for making profits and literally trippled all subscriptions and they charge extra's that used to be free. I have been paying everything out of my own pocket since 2015 but I will migrate to another platform after the first term runs out of the new prices Meetup charges (36 to 120 euro's!).
The Dutch Photography & Filmmaking Meetup will keep the same name (or maybe slightly different if we don't or can't use the "Meetup" part in the groupname anymore. I am currently talking to platform Heylo to migrate to that platform. Maybe it will be "The Dutch Photography & Filmmaking Group".
