Behind the crowds, souvenir shops, and coffee shops, Amsterdam hides some very unexpected stories.

This meetup is for people who enjoy cities, stories, walking, and meaningful conversations.

We’ll meet near Amsterdam Centraal Station, get to know each other, and take a relaxed walk through one of the oldest and most fascinating parts of the city — from Zeedijk to Nieuwmarkt.

Along the way, I’ll share a few surprising stories about:
• Amsterdam Centraal Station built on thousands of wooden poles
• Damrak, where ships once arrived from around the world
• the Basilica of Saint Nicholas
• one of the last remaining wooden houses in the city
• the famous In ’t Aepjen bar (“In the Monkeys”)
• Chinatown and one of the largest Buddhist temples in Europe
• and the anatomy theatre where people once came to watch public dissections

But the main goal of this meetup is simple:
to meet new people, have good conversations, and spend a nice time together.

After the walk, we can continue the experience over coffee somewhere around Nieuwmarkt.

Perfect for people who:
• enjoy history, culture, and cities
• like relaxed social events
• want to meet thoughtful and curious people
• or simply want a different kind of meetup
