Part One (9:00–9:45 AM): Coffee & Conservation Outreach
We’ll start the morning with coffee, snacks, and fun raffles while learning about bird stewarding—what it is, why it matters, and how you can help protect nesting shorebirds and seabirds at our local beaches and parks. Easy, welcoming, and perfect for all experience levels.
Part Two (9:45-11:00 AM: Shorebird Walk
Then we’ll head out on a guided Bird Walk with Patricia Haas, Parks Naturalist, to observe the incredible birds of Huguenot Memorial Park. Learn to identify species, spot nesting behavior, and see firsthand how stewarding helps give these birds space to thrive.
