Decentralization: Why and How?

Hi DWeb Shanghai community,

We are holding our second event on Oct 27th along with X-Order Lab(http://lab.xorder.ai/) at Innospace. We are excited to have so many people show up the first meetup!

At the first meetup, we discussed how DWeb and DWeb community was founded and why we needed it. We also discussed some interesting projects and topics related to the decentralized web.

Thus we want more! We want to include more people to join us and discuss the ideal web you want and how decentralization can help us achieve it. You don't have to be a developer or an engineer. Everyone is welcome and more than welcome, that we want you to tell us your own experience and what's the problem right now with the current web. Bring some questions and we will discuss it.

In our second meetup, we will mainly discuss the topic "privacy." Privacy has become a really serious problem in our daily life. It affects us in all the ways, Didi, Taobao, JD, Ctrip, etc. They are abusing our privacy to help themselves make profits. We the people create and generate the data but the data is not used to help us but to abused against us. We experienced price discrimination, spamming calls from banks and loans and even direct privacy data leaking. What is wrong with this web? What should we do? What can we do? Please bring your own story to the meetup and we can hear and learn! Yisi will present the content from Mozilla Internet Health Report 2019(https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/internet-health/) and guide the discussion.
