*IN-PERSON* SF/F Group

Details
We will be meeting at Namu. We will be inside, on the coffee house side next to the beer hall, at a big table behind an orange shelf. Food and drink are available for purchase. Closing time is around 9, so we will start the meeting a little earlier than usual. If you have a respiratory ailment, please consider masking or staying home.
This sub-group focuses on Speculative Fiction, including Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. If you have anything that falls under that category — be it short story, poem, novel-in-progress or screenplay — then come! We'd love to hear from you.
Our format allows each reader 15 minutes to present their work aloud, followed by approximately 20 minutes of feedback from the other attendees. To ensure fairness, each attendee is limited to 1 minute of Initial Feedback time. During that period, the author remains silent. Next, we have a 5 minute Free-For-All discussion about the work -- then the author may speak. (We usually get through three readers.)
Though not required, in order to receive more in-depth feed-back, readers may post their work in advance on our Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/d/forum/durham-sff-writers-group
We ask that participants keep their comments constructive and respectful, focusing on what works or doesn't work in the piece.
We also ask that readers provide a warning, both on the Google Group and during the meeting, if their story features content that some readers might find upsetting. This includes descriptions of violence or sexual content.
Readers are:
• Max
• Dan
• James
Backup Readers are:
• Rob
• Faye
• John
Deep Backup:
• Dara
