Welcome to Lisbon, founded in the 12th century and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin exploring the city on your own. Tonight, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 5 PM

· DAY 3, Thursday - Lisbon City Tour, Sintra Tour
Today's tour of Lisbon begins with a stop at the top of Edward VII's Park to enjoy a view over the hills of Lisbon and the River Tagus. Next, see the treasured 16th century Belem Tower. Then, tour Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that today serves as a reminder of Portugal's wealth and power during the Age of Discovery. This amazing structure is considered the most prominent achievement of the Manueline style of architecture (Portuguese Late-Gothic). Proceed to the Monument of Discoveries, built in honor of Henry the Navigator, who was instrumental in the success of Portuguese explorations during the 15th century. Standing over 171 feet tall, the monument, shaped like a ship's prow, stands at the marina in Belem, the starting point for many of Portugal's explorers and where Vasco da Gama embarked on his voyage to India. In the afternoon, visit the 18th century Palacio de Queluz and its graceful gardens, one of the last Rococo buildings to be designed in Europe and former summer residence to the royal family. Next, continue to Sintra, the Glorious Eden of Lord Byron, and ancient summer retreat of the royal court. The city is highlighted by romantic castles and monuments. Afterward, spend leisure time in Lisbon. Tonight, perhaps travel to one of Lisbon's oldest districts for an unforgettable Fado performance of local songs accompanied by guitars, while enjoying a typical Portuguese dinner

· DAY 4, Friday - Tile Factory, Olive Oil Grove, Tavira
Depart Lisbon and drive across the historic 25th of April Bridge over the River Tagus, heading south towards Setubal. En route, stop for a visit at Sao Simao Arte, an artisanal tile manufacturing facility where you can observe the stages of traditional Portuguese decorative tile production. Continue driving via the Serra da Arrabida Natural Park and admire the coastal scenery along the way. Next, visit the bustling Livramento Market, located near the waterfront and renowned for its fresh seafood. You can also find a variety of local produce, cheeses, cured meats, olive oil, and other regional products. Stop at the baked goods section and try a "pastel de nata," the famous decadent Portuguese custard tarts. Next, journey inland over undulating hills blanketed with olive groves, to Ferreira do Alentejo. Here, take a guided tour of Lagar do Marmelo and gain knowledge about the stages of olive oil production. At the end of the tour, savor an exquisite olive oil tasting. Continue to Tavira, in the Algarve region. Check into your hotel and have dinner

· DAY 5, Saturday - Seville City Tour
This morning, head east and cross the border into Spain. Stop in the energetic city of Seville, capital of the scenic Andalucia region, with its fascinating layers of Roman and Moorish history. Embark on a tour of the city including the beautiful Plaza de España and the fragrant gardens of Maria Luisa Park by the Guadalquivir River. Explore the narrow streets and plazas of the old Santa Cruz Quarter. Continue with a visit to the Cathedral of Seville, home to the burial site of Christopher Columbus. Built on the site of the former great mosque, its original minaret, the Giralda Bell Tower, still stands. In the afternoon, travel to Cadiz. Check into your room with time to relax before dinner at a local restaurant

Make your way to the yellow-domed Cathedral of Cadiz and the medieval quarter known as Populo. Gain insight into the city's history and its role in Spain's maritime endeavors. Next, take a ferry across the Bay of Cadiz to the coastal town of Puerto de Santa Maria, famous for its historic buildings, whitewashed houses, and sandy beaches. Here, sample local specialties for lunch. Afterward, explore the town's highlights, viewing the medieval San Marcos Castle, the Baroque-style Casa de los Leones, and 17th century Araníbar Palace. A walking tour of the city reveals the ancient Jewish Quarter with its labyrinth of winding narrow streets, courtyards, and picturesque squares. View the 14th century Synagogue on Calle de los Judios and continue with a visit to Cordoba's finest patios. View the ornate 18th century Royal Palace, Europe's second largest. Then, visit the world-renowned Prado Museum, one of the finest art museums in the world. Stand before masterpieces by Velazquez, Goya, El Greco, and other important Spanish artists. Afterward, check into the hotel. Today, journey to historic Toledo, known as the "city of three cultures," because it sits atop a hill, surrounded by the Tagus River, and boasts a fascinating blend of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish heritage. Here, visit the most famous monuments, such as St. Tome Church, which houses El Greco's "The Burial of Count Orgaz," and the Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue. Admire the famous handcrafted work, the "damasquinado." Return to Madrid. Tonight, share wonderful memories of your journey and bid adios to your Tour Manager at dinner
