What we’re about
This group is looking for other E-bikers to take our E-bikes out on bike paths, roads and dirt. I’ll try to post at least two rides a week. Bike path rides are usually along a river or beach and range from 15 to 40 miles with very little elevation gain. Our city street and road rides can range from 20 to 35 miles with elevation gains from 500’ to 5000’. I pick cities to ride in that offer hills to challenge our e-bikes. There are those of us that have E-mountain bikes that are looking to take them on dirt, so I will be posting dirt rides which, for the most part, will be on fire roads (wide track). There are a lot of these roads in our open spaces and national forest which can open up new areas usually too far to hike in a day. Presently, this group will not be riding on single track dirt trails unless they are easy.

MORE INFO --
Since this is a "social event" - I won't be taking any roll call of sorts. This event is a great way for me to get the message out to the Meetup community! There is no real set time for you to come. I'll be there sometime around 5:30pm. I also will not be keeping track of when people come and go -- so this is a real "casual" LA ebiking & beyond meetup event!! Yay!
---
DISCLAIMER (Yea -- still gotta do this!)
By participating in this event or any event I host, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks, releasing me from any and all liabilities. I am not a professional outdoor guide, and you assume full responsibility for your safety. As we will be entering a wildlife area, encounters with wildlife are beyond my control. (Yes!! wildlife at Sagebrush Cantina too!)

If you drink, please drink responsibly. Again, by attending this event, I am not liable for your actions before, during and after the event. So, if you like to socially drink, think about getting an Uber or Lift or a sober friend to bring you home, so we can see you at more events on the trail or on a social evening!

- San Luis Obispo to Pismo Beach to Avila Beach Coastal Views LoopNeeds location
We start at the San Luis Obispo Public Market and take mostly generous bike lanes 10 miles to Pismo Beach. In Pismo we take a leisurely ride along the boardwalk and pier and then head up the coast. We detour onto the bike trails at Dinosaur Caves Park and then enjoy the scenic coastal vistas along several different ocean edge roads, parks and walkways. At the 17 mile mark we ride the paved Shell Beach Bluff Trail with a view below of Pirates Cove. We take a shortcut to Avila Beach on a challenging (Elaine approved) paved/not paved road. In Avila Beach we take a short break and then proceed out of town on the paved Bob Jones Bike Trail and then ride back to our cars on wide bike lane roads.
Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube.
