Griffith Park & LA River Loop

We meetup in the parking lot near the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round. We proceed south on Crystal Springs Drive into the suburban hills above Los Feliz Blvd and then make our way near the Greek Theater onto the (car closed) paved Vista Del Valle Drive that snakes up into the hills of Griffith Park. Vista Del Valle Drive takes us past these landmarks: Cedar Grove, the Helipad, Bee Rock, the Haunted Picnic Table, Cathy’s Corner, Royce’s Canyon and finally down to Griffith Park Drive with a brief detour by the Old LA Zoo. We wind our way to Crystal Springs Drive and head north to the LA River for a sojourn down the dedicated bike path for about 5 miles, before returning to our cars.
Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube.
MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: 10am. This is Parking Lot #1 just above and south of the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round.
