BIG BEAR LAKE LOOP - NORTH SIDE
Details
This will be a loop ride in the north side of Big Bear Lake. While it's hot in the valleys, we can cool off in the mountains where the high temperature is around 72 degrees. All but 6.5 miles will be on well groomed dirt roads as we ride up Holcomb Valley and then cut over to Fawnskin Valley, followed by a ride along the Lake to the cars.
MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: We'll all meet at 9:00am in The Woodland Interpative Trail parking lot near the restrooms.
RESTROOMS: At the beginning, during and end of ride.
DISTANCE: 23 miles
ELEVATION GAIN: 2200'
THE PACE: No faster than the slowest in the group
DURATION: 4+ hours
LEVEL: Experienced mountain E-biker and above
TERRAIN: Paved road, dirt roads and a paved bike path.
DEBRIEFING: After the ride, as an option, we can have lunch at The Mountain Munchies.
