IDYLLWILD - IN SEARCH OF FALL COLORS

This is day 2 of a two day trip to Riverside County. This loop takes us through the community of Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains in search of Fall colors and the awesome views it provides. This area is known for the best Fall colors in Southern California.

Make sure your tires or inner tubes have slime in them to help avoid flats.

MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: Park along the west side of Hwy 243 just north of Mount San Jacinto State Park at 9:00am.

RESTROOMS: At the beginning, end and along the ride.

ROUTE This will be our planned route.

DISTANCE: 23 miles

ELEVATION GAIN: 3300'

DURATION: 4+ hours

THE PACE: 6 MPH on up.

TERRAIN: Paved roads

LEVEL: Intermediate

DEBRIEFING: After the the ride I'll be stopping for lunch at the Lumber Mill Bar & Grill.
