This is the new official Meetup page for the San Antonio Writers Guild, designed to keep you - our hopeful, skilled, and hard-working Guild members and friends - connected via both live and on-line meetings since 1992. No other Meetup group using SAWG's name is valid.

Wednesday Critique Group
Denny's Restaurant, 13535 SAN PEDRO AVE, San Antonio, TX, USThis is an in person critique group for writers. We welcome all writers, regardless of genre. This is an opportunity to meet other writers in the community and grow in the craft.
Participants bring submissions to be read aloud and receive feedback from the group in a fun, engaging and supportive community of writers!
Anyone may attend the critique group, but only current members of San Antonio Writer's Guild are permitted to share. Order of reading is decided by a system of attendance points. You can become a member of SAWG at: Membership – San Antonio Writers' GuildIt is possible that some submissions will contain themes or language not suitable for minors. For this reason, this is an 18+ group.

How Does It Work?
SAWG’s Spec-Fic critique meetings are small-group focused with a rolling submission order (where everyone takes turns reading their material week-to-week). Two pieces are read every week, and there will be a table read, verbal critique, and a round-table discussion section. Submissions are handed out a week in advance to give members plenty of opportunity to preview the text and make line annotations and/or write critique letters if they so desire.We meet every Monday from 7-9 pm and are open only to current members of SAWG.
