The annual singles table tennis tournament is THIS SUNDAY, February 15, 2026
11:00 AM Doors open for table set-up, warm-up, and practice.
12:00 Noon. Registration. We really need at least TWO volunteers to sign up, help keep
scores and results. If possible, please bring someone to volunteer.
$20.00 Entrance Fee. If under 21, Free.

12:30 PM Competition begins. PLEASE BE ON TIME. IF YOU COME LATE, YOU MAY Not
BE ABLE TO COMPETE, BUT WE WILL TRY TO ACCOMMODATE IF POSSIBLE.
Round robin tournament rules. You will be assigned to a group of 4-6 players and each
players will play everyone in their group. Three Games of 11-point scores to
determine winner.
Seeding. To the extent possible, each group will have an equal number of “A” players
And “B” players, based on the results from last year’s Singles Tournament.
Second round. All the winners from each group will be re-assigned to A Winners’ group
and each player will play every other person in that group.
All the non-winners from each group likewise. (Consolation Round.)
Finals. Top two finishers from each of the two “Winner’s Group” will advance to
Finals. #1 from each group will play #2 from the other group, Winners from
that competition will be able to play for the Championship. Depending on
time constraints, finals may be 3, 5, or 7 games.
Consolation: Same structure for the consolation players
Rules: This is for fun. All reasonable serves considered legal. Modest table touches are
O.K.
Disputes: David Klein and two other disinterested players will hear the dispute and decide
outcome.
Awards: Trophies for the first, second, third, and fourth—winner’s bracket.
First, second, third, and fourth for Consolation.
Certificates: Both real and humorous awarded to each participant.
We expect a lot of excitement and competition, but remember, we play for fun
(and maybe a bit of glory) so come with a smile on your face and a new sticky
Paddle for best results.
(No sandpaper paddles.)
