1st Meet Up of Chapter 2016
Details
The theme for this Meet Up will be around Diabetes, our speakers will have 10 to 15 minutes to talk about their position and then there will be Q & A.
Networking begins at 6 pm and speakers at 6:30 pm.
We will have 5 speakers:
• Pauline Dunne Regional Development Officer Diabetes Ireland
• Chris Murphy & Simon Kiersey Co-Founders of Bluedrop Medical - early stage startup company investigating the issue of diabetic foot disease.
• Mary Clare O’Hara - Mary Clare is a Health Services Researcher and Programme Manager, Diabetes Centre, Galway University Hospitals.
• Lisa Hynes aPostdoctoral researcher, Health Behaviour Change Research Group (http://www.nuigalway.ie/colleges-and-schools/arts-social-sciences-and-celtic-studies/psychology/research/research-themes/health-wellbeing/health-psychology/), NUI Galway. Lisa’s PhD in health psychology aimed to develop a theory to explain clinic attendance among young adults with type 1 diabetes.
