Wild Food/Plant Walk in Ft. Worth

Details

By popular request, Debbie and Bryan Pierce will be teaching a wild food class in Ft. Worth on June 13. Come join them to learn how to identify local plants and feed yourself and your family with food that is nutrient-rich, delicious, and free!! Edible wild plants are all around us, and made for our enjoyment and nourishment, if only we know what they are and how to use them.

Experience the peaceful, joyful meditation of walking on the earth, the wind delighting your skin and the sun warming your body, fresh air filling your lungs, enjoying the diverse abundance of plant life.

Reconnect with your origins as a natural being, and explore mother nature's wondrous bounty.

Truly know where your food comes from!

Class Agenda:

We will take a plant walk all over the land to learn about the native plants and wild edibles in North Texas. This walk will be held at Tandy Hills Natural Area. We will be meeting by the playground.

Cost:

Our wild food walks are donation based. Donation suggestion is $10-$30. Your generosity is appreciated <3

What to bring:

Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots that you don't mind getting dirty or wet, and a hat and/or natural sunscreen for sun protection. Bring plenty of drinking water, and a snack if you feel you'll require it. Bring a camera if you'd like to photograph the edibles we discover!
