monthly hike at ft. ben

Details
Ft. Ben offers lots of great trails that range from easy to rugged. This park is nice because it's so close to downtown, yet feels so far away from the city!
Our monthly hike will be 2-3 miles in length on the the Fall Creek/Camp Creek trails. These trails are moderately rugged as there are stairs and hills. We'll stop for breaks along the way and let any swimmers enjoy Duck Pond.
To find us, take the first right and follow the road until it ends at Delaware Lake. We'll meet at the trail head of the Fall Creek trail. GPS coordinates for our exact meeting location are 39.872738, -86.018728 which you can enter into Google Maps.

Trail map is available online (http://www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/files/ftharrison_trail.pdf).
I encourage you to bring enough water for yourself and your dog(s) and doggie bags. You are expected to pick up after your dog. Sturdy tennis shoes or hiking boots would also be good to wear. If it is pouring rain, consider this event to be canceled.
Entrance to the park is $5/vehicle. 2014 annual pass for DNR State Parks & Reservoirs are available. They are only $40 and are good from Jan 1st - Dec 31st.
