Using C* in a Distributed, Large-scale Object Store & C*+ ElasticSearch+Spark

Details
For this meetup we are excited to be joined by two great presenters, Gary Ogasawara, VP of Engineering at Cloudian and Jamie Turner, CTO and Co-Founder of Postcode Anywhere.
What You'll Learn At This Meetup:
Gary Ogasawara: Discover how Cloudian HyperStore object storage solutions use Cassandra to deliver a distributed, resilient, and elastic system. HyperStore software is ideal for enterprises and service providers looking to offer highly scalable, on-premises Amazon S3-compatible storage. Cassandra plays a key role in data distribution logic, especially in geographically distributed, multi-data center use cases. A 360 degree view of the project will be examined.
Jamie Turner: Hear the trials and tribulations of wrestling Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Spark and Kafka into a Windows environment? Why building for the web has some real gotchas (especially when using IIS) and how you can get round them? We'll look at a real-world Lambda architecture built around these components - and drill down into the Spark/Cassandra integration, as an example of some of those gotchas and the solutions available.
- Food and drinks will be served, hope to see you all there!
*Big thank you to Braintree for hosting and Cloudian for presenting and sponsoring food+drinks
