More on FaaS: The Swiss Army Knife of Serverless Computing

Details
ZHAW's Service Prototyping Lab presents more prototypes in the area of Function-as-a-Service (FaaS), both for AWS Lambda and for other target environments. Among the presented tools will be one which makes FaaS indeed serverless as it lets users test functions locally. In the tradition of netcat, the Swiss Army Knife for TCP/IP, we consider a powerful client/server-sided hybris a conceptual necessity to advance beyond current FaaS implementations. Another tool to be presented turns Python code dynamically into deployed and runnable FaaS units. The agenda will be as follows:
18.30 - Welcome
18.35 - Lambada: From Python to Lambda with a single preloaded module.
19:00 - Snafu: The Swiss Army Knife of Serverless Computing.
19:30 - Discussion, food, drinks
Location: ZHAW Winterthur, building TH, room 343 (arrival: https://www.zhaw.ch/storage/shared/hochschule/lageplaene/lageplan-engineering-technikumstrasse.pdf)
We're also looking forward for additional speakers for the next Future Cloud Applications events. If you've got anything which is too futuristic and researchy elsewhere, bring it up here.
