Aerial Advertising w/ Mike Hughes (& his L-19 Bird Dog)

Meet at 9:30am for coffee and camaraderie, followed at 10:00am by chapter announcements and Mike's presentation. Following Mike's presentation please stay for lunch -- burgers, hotdogs chips and soda.

As an almost 50 year Pilot with an aviation background ranging from GA to airlines, Mike owes his career to the experiences he had as a newly minted commercial pilot right out of the same building as EAA106 back in the early 80s.

As a banner tow and skywriting pilot, he did things in his aircraft that would stand the hair up on most CFI’s necks. He got the job done in varying weather conditions, nevertheless.

Mike will cover the many forms of Aerial Advertising, some of which many people have never seen. He has many pictures and short videos that will accompany his presentation.

Mike says he will welcome questions during the presentation and expects that the session will last about an hour. Mike hopes that Wayne Mansfield will be attending -- Wayne and his parents built our hangar 135 and what is now our side room: there used to be a couple of offices and many banner letters hung up. Mike also expects some fellow banner tow pilots to attend and they may have some stories to share.
