Tring Walk
Details
This is a circular route of 11 miles. We follow the Grand Union Canal toward Marsworth Reservoir and lock. Then through farmland towards Ivinghoe Aston and eventually to the high point of the walk, Beacon Hill, the highest point of the Ivinghoe Hills with fantastic views. We then follow the Ridgeway over Pitstone Hill and down into the Aldbury Nowers, and our return to Tring Station. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
Refreshments
Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water. Possible pub stop at the mid point of the walk.
Travel
By train, London Northwestern trains from Euston to Tring. Services stop at Harrow and Wealdstone at 9:20am. Arrives at Tring at 9:50am. Parking at Tring Station, £10 for day, £7 for day if arriving after 10:00am.
