New Members Open Evening

We have our new members evening at our hall this month. The evening is aimed at everyone interested in finding out more about our outdoor activities group. On the night will be displays and information about our past and forthcoming events. Our group is one of the oldest and original Youth Hostelling Association (YHA) groups in the UK.
Come along tonight to find out more about our Walks, Weekends Away and Weeks Away. We venture out away from London to the countryside, fresh air, quiet, views, wildlife, maybe hills, valleys, woods and mountains. All over the UK to the Lakes, Peaks, Dales, Beacons etc. Last year we averaged 2 trips away each month along with many local day walks to the Chilterns, Surrey Hills & Thames Valley, Activities may be easy, moderate or more challenging - something for everyone. Get involved and make friends getting outdoors and active.
Many of our existing group will be at the hall so it is a very good opportunity to meet the rest of the group.

How we differ from most other meet up outdoor groups?
Our group is an YHA affiliate group. ALL our day walks & cycle rides are completely FREE to members. Our trips away at YHA hostels benefit from large savings as we are part of the YHA. We also offer 4 camping trips each summer, sailing trips, horse riding, caving, climbing & canoeing events as well as weekly hikes. Our group also offer training for all members. This includes map reading & leadership skills training. Our group benefits from a stock of OS maps, tents, & other outdoor equipment free to borrow for all members.

Refreshments: Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are available free of charge on the evening
