# 📖 A Happy Pocket Full of Money — Week 1

### Money, Time, Thought & the Nature of Reality

Reading: Chapters 1–6
For our first discussion of David Cameron Gikandi’s A Happy Pocket Full of Money, we’ll explore the ideas that form the foundation of the book: money, abundance, time, thought, and the nature of reality.
Gikandi asks us to reconsider some assumptions we rarely question. What is money beyond the numbers in our bank account? How much does our internal world shape the way we experience our external one? And can abundance exist before our circumstances change?
We’ll approach the book with both curiosity and healthy skepticism. You don’t have to agree with the author—or with each other. The goal is to explore the ideas, test them against our own experiences, and see what holds up.

### Discussion Questions

  • What does money represent to you beyond purchasing power?
  • What is the difference between wealth and abundance?
  • How much do our thoughts and expectations shape our experience?
  • What did you make of Gikandi’s use of quantum physics?
  • Can someone have little money and still experience abundance?
  • Can someone have great wealth and still experience scarcity?
  • What idea from these chapters resonated with you most?
  • What idea are you most skeptical about?

Come ready to question, reflect, and share. There are no “right” interpretations—just an opportunity to examine our assumptions about money, happiness, and the way we experience our lives.
