Spirit Walk

Details

Once again, walk mindfully and deliberately open to what the more-than-human world can teach us about our souls and spirits. We stop to attune and feel more connected to nature in ways that we don't connect in our daily lives. We wander to see what we may learn as we drop into the movement toward a special time of year in the Jewish calendar.

This walk be close to the end of the Hebrew month of Av and the start of the month of Elul. Elul is the month of the Beloved in our tradition, and it's in this love that we dive into the process of self-reflection, what we call return or teshuvah in Hebrew. So we'll be dropping into teshuvah on this walk. The year is starting to ripen. It's hard to believe that we're starting August and thinking about the turn and return of our year already. In a way, that's the beauty of the cycle of our year. Each moment that we're in is part of an overall flow. So what might the trees and earth have to say about how we approach our return process in the abounding love of Elul?

We'll be at the lovely Corwina Park. While I typically don't walk far at all on these, we'll walk in about a mile on this trail to get to the places where we'll slow down and do the mindful practices.

I'm asking for an $18 donation (or some multiple of 18) to help cover the costs of this group. Thanks.
