Earth Groove presents an evening of poetry, live music and DJs.

The sublime Montañera will be enchanting us with her mystical modern Colombian folk songs.

Swirling cosmic synths are intertwined with powerful vocals of the bullerengue tradition, to create a sound that feels both ancient and futuristic. Her latest album released in January 2024 has been met with rapturous reviews:

'A Flor de Piel transmits centuries of cultural memory, but the hissing electronics and serene synth arrangements transform the music into more than mere homage. The album chronicles stories of rebirth, transformation, and self-discovery, often via the purifying and regenerative motifs of water and flora.'

To kick off the evening there will be spoken word performances from Earth Groove resident Aneira and the Edinburgh pro Poppy Radcliffe.

We will dance to the end of the night with DJ sets from La Jeva and Black Magic Woman.
