Plant Powered Disruptors Present: Healing Mindfullness Practices for Activists

Details

As activists, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by the atrocities happening in the world and the situation that we are in just 1% who shares our stance towards saving animals. This can lead to feelings of helplessness and eventual burnout. To sustain our continuous fight for justice, self-care becomes essential.
Join us for an event focused on mental health and healing, featuring our dear friend Diana Rose, aka Big Mama. Diana is a Healing Arts & Wellness Facilitator whose career and business center around education, coaching, and activism. She injects love, empathy and powerful ancestral intuitive abilities into every community she interacts with.
We will also tap into the healing power of music with The Repressions who will perform an acoustic set for us. The Repressions are a playful, emotive indie music duo with songs that make it safe to express emotions related to mental health issues of all kinds.
Who Can Attend: Anyone identifying as an activist, social justice, and animal rights supporter or an ally
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing

- Water bottle
- Yoga mats or blankets for meditation
Please arrive on time in order not to distract the practice and respect the space and container of participants.
Additional information:
- If bringing snacks or drinks, ensure they are vegan and you use environmentally friendly packaging and utensils. If unsure, it's better to not bring anything.

- We might head to a nearby vegan restaurant after the session.
We will gather in a circle, holding each other in a caring presence, listening to the nurturing music and sounds, to re-energize and prepare to continue showing up for animals and oppressed humans worldwide. We hope to see you there and share this healing experience with you.
