What we’re about
Our group is based in Cary, NC. We are focused on developing connection to nature and creating community through a variety of outdoor games, classes, and exercises. Kids & adults both welcome.
Some examples of what we do:
- Plant walks. Learn about different plants and mushrooms. What can you eat? What is medicinal? What is poisonous?
- Friction Fire. Rub 2 sticks together to make fire. There are many different ways to do this. Don't worry, we will help you get the technique just right!
- Animal Tracking. Let's find some animal sign and follow it. Maybe we can unravel the story of what this animal was doing and why.
- Stealth & Awareness. Let's play some games! These exercises are designed to awaken your senses, get you out of your head, and back into your body. You don't have to be a kid to have fun.
- Woodcarving. Bring a knife and we can make a spoon, spatula, small bowl, figurines, etc. Your creativity (and patience) determine your limits!
You don't need to have any experience with these things to participate. Just come try it out!
