Forest Walk: Listening to Plants, Trees, and Place (Three-Word Practice) Join me for a slow, mindful walk in the woods where we practice noticing, naming, and listening to the living world around us.
In this session, we’ll experiment with a gentle communication practice called the three-word path. After meeting a plant, tree, or other natural being, I’ll offer three words I receive, invite you to respond in three words, and—if it feels right—offer three words back to the plant. This session is free, and your feedback will help shape future walks.
No special abilities required. Curiosity, respect, and presence are enough.
This walk is about:
• Deepening awareness in nature
• Learning to listen without forcing meaning
• Trusting subtle perception
• Experiencing plants as living teachers
This is not a lecture and not a belief system. It’s experiential, gentle, and grounded. Silence is welcome. Skepticism is welcome. So is wonder.
Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be prepared to walk slowly and stop often.
Come as you are. Leave a little quieter, a little more connected.
We will walk in nature. Be prompt! We leave the trail head right at 9AM.
Get some exercise, open your heart, and meet new friends.
We will start with a short (5 min.) Tai Chi meditation. As we walk, I will point out plants, herbs, mushrooms, and wildlife along the way.
Halfway through the walk (2.5 miles) we will stop for a short gratitude meditation.
Please join us. Your feedback is welcome and appreciated!
