Spring "New Beginnings" Party (in-person)
Details
We know that breakups are hard – whether it is a short or long-term relationship, involving children or not, it is still can be a very trying and stressful time. When there are unresolved issues and you simply don’t know when it will end so that you can simply “move on” and “live your life” again, it can bring you down and have you frustrated and feeling stuck.
I get it. I have been there.
I remember my hotly contentious divorce, which was horrible. It impacted me and my family in ways that made it so hard and tough. While my experience may not be exactly what you are going through, I am sure there are many similarities.
How do you move on?
Is it even possible to move on?
How do you find your way back to the “you” that you once knew?
A short story that I can share is that when I was going through my hotly contentious divorce, my sister and I decided to attend an event and we both agreed that I was going as “myself” and not as what I was going through. In other words, we agreed to share only about myself to the extent as was necessary and to leave out the personal information that I was going through a divorce. During the course of that event I slowly was able to relax and I began to feel like myself again, I mingled with all of the people and even noticed glimpses of my happy, sassy self that came out – which had been suppressed for so long. While that experience was “short-lived” I attributed it to giving me the confidence to know that I still had ”me” inside of me even though I hadn’t “seen” her in a long while. It was the confidence and encouragement I needed.
With that said, while you may be going through a tough time right now, I invite you to give yourself the “gift” of stepping outside of what has become your “norm” and come socialize with nice people, make new friends and acquaintances, enjoy some lite fare and beverages in a safe space.
There will also be an OPPORTUNITY TO "ASK THE LAWYER" and
