For the 60th anniversary of BCCO, we are commissioning a composer Michael Schachter, whose ancestor Rafael Schachter organized performances of the Verdi while he was interned at Terezin.
We open our anniversary season with the Verdi Requiem and finish it with this new commission, to echo the artistry of the musicians, artists, poets and intellectuals who came together during difficult times.
