Come join if you want to get in better shape before summer! We will meet at San Leandro Marina at the starting line. It is next to the outdoor bodyweight fitness equipment. There are plenty of parking spots available.

Although the meeting time is at 6:30pm, we don't start the actual run until around 6:45pm. After we all finish the mile, we can decide as a group if we want food or drinks. See you guys there!

Join the group on Friday 5/9 5:30pm for Meet and Chill @ Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach (Alameda). A beach with nice views of SF skyline, big open space, hopefully sunny weather. Bring warm clothes, it can be windy. Bring your own food and drinks if you want to share. Sunset time is around 7:30pm.

I'll arrive about 15 mins early to get us a spot were we can all meet. Then I'll post where you can find the group in the comments.

Lots of parking spaces and there is a bus stop for those who need public transportation.

5.2 mile, 1059 ft hike. up to 2hr and 36 minutes

We will be going counter clockwise, starting at the parking lot.
It is free. We will then go along the road till we hit Miwok trail. From here on most of the climb will be one shot till we get to Hill 88. An abandoned radio tower of 1961. There is cool looking graffitied wall back drop here that is great for a group photo. You can see a lot of abandoned of what use to be buildings with an over view of the coast. We will probably hang out here for a bit, have your lunch or a snack while we enjoy the overlook and the coastal views.

Then we will head back down towards the parking lot with some old abandoned battery and a restored and detached cannon to look at and finish our 5 mile hike. Those with some extra energy. Can also roam around, hang out on the beach. check out the nike missile silo and or visit the Point Bonita light house nearby.
