Russian River Float Trip

Hi! We're going to float on the Russian River on Sunday, August 3rd. The float will start from Steelhead Beach in Forestville to Sunset Beach and typically lasts around 3 hours. The river is 2 miles long, and the water travels slow. The drive from Walnut Creek is around 1h 40m (80miles). We're planning to leave Heather Farm Park around 7:30am. We'll try to get there before 9:00 to avoid the crowds! Parking also gets filled up very quickly on the weekends.

What to bring:
- River tube (purchase online or rent at Steelhead)
- Sunscreen, hats, and shades
- Bathing suit and clean clothes
- Dry bag/waterproof case
- Food/drinks

After the river float, we plan to head back to WC and go to Gabe's farewell party! If you're interested, please sign up and we can coordinate carpooling.
