### 🌿 First Group Hike: Nimitz Way at Inspiration Point (Tilden Park)

Join us for the very first hike of our new walking & hiking community! This will be a relaxed, welcoming outing focused on getting to know one another while enjoying one of the East Bay’s most beautiful and accessible trails. No need for RSVP; just show up :-)

📍 Meeting Location:
Inspiration Point Parking Lot, Tilden Regional Park
Address: 2501 Wildcat Canyon Rd, Orinda, CA 94563
Please plan to arrive early to allow time to find parking, as the lot can fill on weekends. We’ll gather in the parking lot and begin the hike promptly at 1:00 pm.

Sunday, January 18, 2026
1:00 – 3:00 pm (approximately 2 hours)

🥾 About the Trail:
We’ll walk along Nimitz Way, a wide, mostly flat fire road with gentle grades and expansive views. The trail is well-maintained, easy on the joints, and perfect for a conversational, social pace. On clear days, there are sweeping views of the Bay, rolling hills, and open sky, a wonderful setting for a first gathering.

This hike is about community, connection, and enjoying the outdoors together, not speed or distance. New members are especially welcome.
