EDN “7-on-1” Roundtable – Get to Know Fellow Members

At East Dallas Networking, we often talk about having 1-on-1s to learn more about each other’s businesses and build stronger connections. I take a slightly different approach — I do 7-on-1s.
This is a small roundtable with 7 EDN members plus me. The goal is simple: get to know each other better, understand what everyone does, and see where natural partnerships or referrals might develop.
A few ground rules:

  • You must be an EDN member for at least 3 months to attend.
  • You must be someone I've not had a 1:1 with before.
  • If you RSVP, I expect you to show up. These seats are limited.
  • Please arrive on time. We start promptly and wait for no one.
  • This is fast-paced! Roughly 5-7 minutes each. Use your time wisely.
  • Arrive prepared! Tell us who you are and what you do. The perfect referral for you is ______? A little about your history. Any business issues you'd like to discuss with the group?
  • This is NOT a sales call! Do not make it so.
  • This IS a casual opportunity to get to know each other.

Also important:

  • Do not add attendees to your cold call or email distribution lists.
  • Unless requested, do not solicit other members after the meeting.
  • Remember, cold-calling and/or putting our members on a solicitation list will get you deleted from the EDN post haste.

We meet at JJ’s Café, which generously hosts EDN each week. Ordering a meal is not required, but I encourage you to grab something if you can as a way to support the restaurant that supports our group.
If you’re interested in deeper connections with fellow EDN members, this is a great way to do it, without that weird sales pitch vibe.
