11.5 mile Walk - How Green Are My Valleys

Start Sunnybank, Helmshore, Haslingden, Rossendale BB4 4PF. Please park on the right hand side of the road as you turn in from the B6235.
1450ft ascent, the route will include Grane, Alden, Musbury n’ th’Irwell valleys. If it’s very hot and sunny there are opportunities to shorten the walk in the afternoon.
Please give thought to the clothing and footwear necessary for adverse weather or ground conditions, and carry enough water and food for the day.
