17 mile Walk - Walney Island

Meet outside the Ferry Hotel, 1 Promenade, Walney. LA14 3PE in time to start at 09.30.
There is a cafe half way for drinks or food. There is a short spell with nettles and horseflies about, not for long but trousers rather than shorts might be advisable.
Please give thought to the clothing and footwear necessary for adverse weather or ground conditions, and carry enough water and food for the day.
