Start from the free car park in Newton by Bowland, this is on the left hand side of the B6478 just outside Newton heading toward Slaidburn, nearest postcode is BB7 3EB.
The route goes via Slaidburn, Croasdale Fell, Whitendale, Whin Fell, Sykes & Hodder Bank Fell, approx 3,400ft ascent.
Please give thought to the clothing and footwear necessary for adverse weather or ground conditions, and carry enough water and food for the day.
